Visual Researcher and Treatment Designer

Where and When? 

Full time 5 days a week in the office in Sydney as part of our creative development team, starting as soon as possible. Our office in Paddington has all day parking and is close to Edgecliff station and the city. 


Who are we? 

We are a film production company. We work across all facets of the industry including commercials, television, film, and music videos. We make documentaries, live experiences, TV commercials, feature films and digital content. We hold several patents and actively develop and licence products, innovations, and inventions that push the boundaries of conventional storytelling. We have also created two initiatives, Creatable (addressing equity and access  in education) and The Lion’s Share (aiding conservation). 

The creative department is responsible for creating our industry-leading treatments. 


What’s the role? 

The role involves bringing great ideas to life with great craft. Tasks include leading the creation of treatments by pulling reference, graphic design, and lay up while drawing on a rigorous and current knowledge of commercials, music videos, film and television. You will also revise treatments according to team/agency feedback and ensure all our visual outputs are to the highest standard. 


Who are you? 

You have an interest in visual and written communication, and love of telling stories on screen. You are also passionate about collaboration, and thrive as part of a team. This is a mid to senior level position so you will also have experience as a Visual Researcher or Treatment Designer or Graphic designer. 

You have excellent attention to detail, urgency when under pressure in meeting deadlines, enjoy work collaboratively as part of a team, but are also a self-starter with drive, have a desire for ongoing growth, are open to giving and receiving feedback, and have great communication skills.



Must have: 

  • Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Advanced use of Adobe suite especially InDesign and Photoshop 
  • 5 years working in a Creative Industry and / or Completion of a University degree in a relevant course such as media / arts / production / film school
  • Graphic design skills  & experience
  • Image research skills & experience
  • Ability to reference specific images from film, TV and commercials 
  • Knowledge of film craft techniques 


Nice to have: 

  • Experience working in film production or commercial production 
  • Knowledge about advertising 
  • Experience designing code-free websites
